REDnesday in the Kitchen

Shock! Two posts in a row!
What has come over me?
Well, I do have some RED pictures to share.
I have had them for a while so I figure it was about time to do a
REDnesday post again.
Many thanks to Sue over at
It's A Very Cherry World for hosting this fun meme!
A couple of posts ago I posted about those three pitchers I got as a gift at a
Christmas party. Finally decided what to do with one of those three.
Enough RED for you there?
I have seen this type of idea done.
I thought I could do that. The pitcher would be perfect for it.
Don't you agree?
That pot holder I have had forever.
Don't even remember where it came from.
Just sort of appeared in my stuff I guess.
I found this at a thrift shop a couple of years ago.
I not really sure what it is for.
Probably used to carry something in it.
Maybe candles were stored in it.
Anyway, I found a way to use it in my kitchen!
It is the perfect size to hold some of my smaller cutting boards
And this cheese board.
There they are with my RED trivet in front!
I had to play around with things trying to get a right "look".
Still not sure if I like it like this.
But it will do for now.
Lots of RED things there.
Another view by shifting to the right.
And I love this new gadget that has RED on it.
It is a bottle/jar opener.
Works great for hands that are starting to get arthritis like mine are.
Got some to give as Christmas presents.
It was a much appreciated gift.
Happy Rednesday!!

Hi Linnea! I just noticed Kaylyn's birth date is the same as mine - and my middle name is Lynn!

That pitcher is perfect for your utensils - so stylish! The box looks great with the cutting boards - they were made for each other!

Hi Linnea,
so great to hear from you hon. such a nice surprise....so funny too, cause I happened to see your blog on my side bar as I was leaving my blog the night before you came by, and was thinking you need to go over and check and see if she is okay since you haven't seen her post in a bit,
but was so tired thought I'll do it tomorrow, and you beat me to it!!
Who cares, just glad to touch base with you.
We are fine, still in the waiting mode to see what the Lord is up to,
but guess He will tell us when He is good and ready!! lol
Doing fine other than some neck and sleeping issues, have been sleeping a bit better the last few nights, but was up a couple of hours last night cause my neck was hurting, but it too, shall pass!
Liked all your pretty red things.
That sunset on your header pic is absolutely gorgeous.
Thanks so much sweetie for coming by to check on me, that was a blessing,
and will try to keep in touch.
Blessings, Nellie

Hi Linnea! Oh, I'm loving your reds and especially the little pitcher with those wonderful red handled flatware! Notice I didn't say silverware. I'm trying to be correct - I always say silverware! :)
Oh, I hope you will come to my party! I'd love it.
Have a wonderful weekend and be a sweetie,

Hi Linnea,

I love that bottle/jar opener....I've been meaning to come over to visit but sometimes my mind is very absent..LOL I always tell everyone if they find it anywhere to please return it. :0)

It is so nice to see you comment. I know you stay busy with work and it does interfere with playtime....just so annoying how that happens. :0)

Drop by anytime!

Stephanie ♥

Morning Linnea,
what a lovely surprise to find your comments this morning. So how in the world are you girly???

Doing well, I hope!
Love all the elements of your red
kitchen. I have really grown to like red in my latter years, didn't really used to like it that much. Funny how things can grow on you. My daughter loves red all the time, that was why the red carnations.
Think I might link up to Rednesday myself, have never tried that before.
Thanks so much for stopping over,
good to see you posting again, and
hope all is well with you and yours.
Blessings hon, Nellie
