Alphabe-Thursday---A is for....

This is new thing for me to participate in!
Jenny is our host!

Found out about it on Ellen's blog,
so I decided I could join in this time.

Just got back from short vacation and we went to a couple of
"A" places.
It was lovely staying at Asilomar.
Found out  Asilomar means  "a refuge by the sea".
That is a very good description of the place.

With our stay there, we also got passes to an Aquarium.
The Monterey Bay Aquarium to be exact.
I was happy to be able to get a picture of the underside of  what we think is a skate.
Doesn't it look cool?!?
A is also for anchovies.
There are a bunch of them in this tank along with a bunch of sardines.
They are in constant motion.
This is a circular tank and around and around they go
constantly chasing each other.

Have a happy week going into the weekend!

I love aquariums, I find watching the fish so peaceful. The stingray reminds me of The Crocodile man, if it is in fact a stingray. Would love to visit your neck of the woods someday!

Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I have participated in alpha-be since the beginning and you will meet so many nice folks! My hubby is retired from the Tennessee Aquarium and we visited the Monterey Aquarium several years ago. I was amazed at the anchovies as well. Have a great weekend.

What a fun and restful post for the letter A.

Your vacation looks like it was fabulous! My Grandlittles always want to visit the aquariums, too. The look of wonder on their faces is absolutely priceless!

Thanks for an awesome link to the letter A.
