Get R Done Friday!

Get R Done Friday is a new thing I am participating in now.
This is only the second time for me to jump in and join
ClassyChassy at Expressly Corgi.
We get to share things we have gotten done each week.
I have a Get R Done on my craft blog too.
~~~~~
I only have one picture to share of my Get R Done thing.
We have been working on getting things out of the house.
But my bags of things to get rid of have been sitting around the
house too long.
It was time to kick them out.
So kick them out I did.
Finally!
Here are the bags in the car.
That was progress, getting them from the house
to the car.
The paper bags were clothes we donated
to the Clothing Center run by
Church Women United that
our church is part of.
The black bag and white bag went to another donation place.
These things were not quite good enough for the
clothing center.
And the bag of batteries.
We had been saving those for awhile.
I weighed them.
That bag was 14 pounds!
Anyway, they went to a collection bucket
for old batteries at our church.
Then somebody takes care of them from there.
I am definitely happy to have gotten all those
bags out of the house!
What is your Get R Done project this week?
Hi Linnea!
Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit!
About two weeks ago, I tackled the little princess's room and donate 8 boxes of clothes! Last week I went through some house hold stuff and donate 2 bags of stuff. This next week is our closets.(shiver!..LOL). But, one of the things that motivates me in doing this is that I know there might be someone out there who needs this or that and I have it just sitting getting in the way.
Have a great day!
Good for you. I need to make a run like that and get rid of a ton of things I can't use. It is so nice to donate so others can use something if we can't. Hugs, Marty
I'm sure you know that even garments that aren't good enough for resale at the thrift shops can be sold for rag material, so nothing goes to waste, and your favorite charity still can benefit! When you clear out your house of unused things, donating them to a good cause is a noteworthy thing to do! Thanks for participating this week - I will have to check out the craft blog too!
We just might be two peas in a pod! I do the same thing with things that I get ready to donate! lol I had some things in my dining room for over 3 months before I finally took them to the garage and then they sat there for probably 2 months before I took them to where they needed to go. It was such a relief to finally get them to the Goodwill! The sad thing is I need to do that again!
LOL....does that look familiar I usually keep the bags for week after cleaning out closets or drawers, before making it to the car...then another week or 2 before dropping them off.
Thanks for dropping by my blog. Yes it does feel good to clean up what has been needing it for awhile.
Got 2 boxes of papers to be shredded packed and taped for the office shredding next week. We're getting a shredding truck to come over and pick up a lot of boxes. This was my contribution. Have a bag of clothes for the thrift shop tomorrow and I'm going to go through tote bags, too. They are multiplying in my closet. That's a goal for tomorrow.
Hi Linnea,
Isn't it the best feeling when you get rid of stuff like that!! I love it! Good for you girlie!
My get her done project is to finally finish my daughters wall hangings. They are ready to be put together but I am chicken to start! Plus I don't want them sitting around too long before we get them on her walls or they might warp. So hopefully we will work on them Mon or tuesday of next week. I want to get them out of my house and over to her house!
And if you read my blog from tonight, we finally finished laying the tile, still have to grout but we are one more step on the trail!! Halleleuah!!
Hope you are doing well my friend.
Bet you are getting excited, what is in like 25 days or something till your trip. I am praying it will be a wonderful and safe trip.
Blessings Sweetie,
Nellie
I LOVE the idea of "get er done Friday"! When my life gets back to "normal", I hope to participate in that! It's always such a great feeling to get those bags and boxes OUT! I have a pile going right now, in a corner of our bedroom, of clothes that need to be GONE!
I loved the items you shared on last week's PS! What a great Secret Sister you have.
YOU are entered in my 200th post giveaway! Good luck! L, Dana
Hi sweet 'Nea!! I love, love, love purging and organizing...SO INVIGORATING!! I can't believe you had an earthquake! Man, I don't know if I could handle that! They say Florida has tiny ones pretty regularly, but I haven't ever felt one! Our excitement is hearing the sonic boom when the shuttle lands and that's enough excitement for me!! At least with hurricanes we have some warning! So glad you are all right! :o)
Blessings to you,
Becky
LINNEA! So good to *see* you! Thanks for dropping by. Good for you for getting this kind of thing done. I've got to take a blogging break and do something similar or I'll be on Oprah or Dr. Phil as one of those nutcases who they find buried under stacks of JUNK! Yahoo for the holidays and the need to declutter!
Great inspiration for me. I've always got things waiting to go. Sometimes they get shuffled back in with the rest of the stuff because I've let them sit to long!
