Hello Everyone!
I want to thank all of you who have let such kind and supportive comments. I still continue to have issues. Right now it is mostly a lack of energy issue and dealing with the side effects of taking an antidepressant. I am sometimes not feeling well with a nauseated stomach and other issues. We decided to check the side effects and realized some of my current problems are probably side effects. The tiredness, loss of appetite, nausea, not being able to sleep all night and so on. I go to the doctor again in a couple of weeks so I will ask about those things at that time. It has been so long since I slept more than 3 hours. Most nights I wake up every one to two hours. No wonder I am so tired. The pain in my shoulders also contribute to my lack of sleep as well. Oh, and if it is not that, then the hot flashes wake me up when they decide to come along. As my sister-in-law said, I can't seem to get a break.Fortunately I don't get the hot flashes all the time. They come in cycles it seems. But when I am really cold, then I say that I could use a hot flash at that time. Then I would get warm. But then they don't come when it would be useful.
So anyway, I am so grateful for all the kind and supportive comments. I am still hoping for things to smooth out. In the meantime, I do the occasional thing in my sewing and craft stuff. I post about that sometimes on my craft blog. So if you haven't checked it out, you can get to it by clicking on the sewing machine in my side bar.
Now it is time for some RED things. I want to thank Sue at
It's A Very Cherry World! for being the faithful host. I notice her participants list is growing. When I first started, it was still a small list. So let's see, what do I have that is RED for you this week.
One Saturday in January we went to The Container Store. It is out of town for us. Maybe about a 40 minute drive. It was interesting weather that day. Anyway, in our county is the Infineon Racetrack. Those who are NASCAR fans may have heard of this place. That RED sign is one of the gates to get inside. When there is a race going on, it makes for traffic issues for us. We try not to go this way when that is the case. I have gotten stuck in that traffic taking my daughter back to college one time. She has since graduated from college.
The main entrance is gate one. Sorry for the blurry picture, but we were in motion and I was trying to get a quick picture.
This is blurry too, but this is the sign that announces upcoming events at Infineon. And yes, that is a cow sculpture on top of the signs. There used to be a bunch of those around our area, but I don't see them anymore.
The weather was very interesting that day. Here we see some blue sky, but there are also rain clouds on the left there. People seem to enjoy seeing the scenery around our area. So I am inserting some of those pictures too. The RED is coming. Just hold on.
We get to where we are headed. Their sign is RED. You can see a RED car there too. Our car is RED, but I did not take a picture of it. Here it is not raining. But it started pouring just before we came out of the store. Also as we were driving here, we were in sun, then suddenly we were in pouring rain, then just as suddenly we were out of it again. So I guess it was that pouring rain had reached this area as we were trying to leave. I had ordered what we needed online and it was ready for us to pickup when we got there. That worked out great. We did not browse. If we did, we would have spent even more money.
This is what I mean about the crazy rain. We are in the rain, but there is blue sky in the distance. Just ignore those spots on my windshield. Our next two stops are also places with RED.
I wanted to show you this. Can you see that yellow arrow I put in the picture? I should have made it RED, but I don't know if that was an option. Anyway, that is San Quentin Prison which is on the San Francisco Bay. I did my fieldwork when I was in school at a prison hospital. Not at San Quentin though. Don't think I would want to do anything there.
I was fascinated by the various scenes as we drove to our next stop. Loved these clouds. Even with all the strange in and outs of the rain, we enjoyed our drive.
Ah. This was our second stop. Lunch at Applebee's. Lots of RED there. Enjoyed the lunch too. Although I forget what I ordered.
Then it was to BEV MO! RED sign, RED doors. Interesting that all three stops had RED. I didn't go inside here. B-Daddy did his order online also, and it was ready for pickup when we got here. So what did I purchase at The Container Store?
Okay this bag doesn't have any RED. But there was RED inside.
The small parts were in this RED reusable bag. I thought that was cool. The install instructions cover has RED.
This RED box was also inside the bag. So, what did we do with all this? Just check out my sewing blog. I did a post there about it for a Whatcha Working on Wednesday. If I have a new post, then it is the post before that. One last RED thing.
I had some of this. It is good. And it helps settle my stomach when I am feeling nauseous. Been getting that a lot lately. Thank you again for all the kind comments. I hope to be getting around to visiting all of you soon. I need to do some catching up with everyone and see what you have been up to.
Happy Wednesday!

Hope you are feeling better soon. I'm up and down a lot at night too. It looks like you had such a busy day! I love when it's rainy but with lots of clouds and sunny patches, more rainbows that way. It's been all-over grey here a lot lately! I've not heard of Bev Mo! I'll look it up.
Hugs,
Dawn
Wow you have a blast out there. Going to the container store is what I like to do too ^_^ Happy Valentines!

Oh I'm so sorry that you are still struggling! I will continue to keep you in my prayers. My little brother (he's 17) is struggling with severe depression right now. We just had to put him in a hospital facility on Monday night. My heart goes out to anyone that is dealing with feelings of depression, as it hurts me to see my brother going through such a difficult time. I pray that you are feeling better soon and that you are able to get some good sleep. I battle insomnia when I'm especially stressed so I can at least relate to hoe terrible that aspect is!
((Hugs to you))
Hi Linnea! Yes, anti-depressant meds take some time to get used to, but they're worth it! In my family, from my mom's side, "everyone" has anxiety and is on meds - we call it the Family Curse. Trust God to get you through it.
I never heard of that apple beer soda. Ginger is good for nausea. I wonder if crackers would help - like during pregnancy?
Love ya,
Sue
I hope you feel better soon. I know how getting a good night's sleep can do a world of good, and that would be a great start.
Looks like you had a great day out, despite the weather. Great pictures of the cloudy skies!
Happy REDnesday!
Carol
It's my first time visiting - sorry to hear of your battle with depression - and hoping you feel better soon. Thank goodness for crafting and decorating, that's what keeps me going when I get depressed.
Happy Rednesday!
Depression is a monster, but I'm so happy you are fighting it.If you are having trouble with the antidepressant you are on PLEASE don't give up on them.Tell your Dr. and keep trying til you find one that suits you.God bless and good luck.

Linnea, I'm working my way through the posts, and I'm just now seeing this. I hope you are feeling much better soon. I miss you and am thinking of you!
XO,

So good to hear from yu in blogland. Hoping things get better for you so very soon! Very fun road trip. Gonna have to try that apple beer one of these days. How is Helmi doing? I bet she's good for picking up your spirits with all her antics! Love ya!
Hi Linnea! Sorry to hear you're still not feeling well, but hope you will be soon!.. Apple Beer?.. Never heard of it, but would LOVE to try it some time! It sounds good! Now Applebee's I'm familiar with!! That sounds good too! Happy Rednesday, and take care of you! ~tina
Hi Linnea,
So good to see a post from you hon.
So sorry you are having such a time of it, I remember those days only too well. If it is any consolation things do get better, but sometimes it feels like it will never change.
Sorry those meds are causing you so much trouble. Probably they just need to change you to something else. I have been praying for you,
but now I know a few more specifics to pray for. Hang in there hon.
Blessings, Nellie
When I read your struggles with sleep and depression, it sounded so familiar! I was struggling too, and really still am, but doing so much better. I tried a couple different anti-depressants, and none of them allowed me to sleep or feel right at all. Eventually the doctor sent me for a sleep study and found that I have a sleep disorder! All that time I thought I was sleeping, I really wasn't, so I wasn't depressed, I was tired! I need to take two medications to really get to sleep, but now that I do, I feel so much better! Just something to check out if you haven't already. Hope you are feeling better soon!
I'm so sorry you have been having these side affects. I'll continue to pray for you.
Hope you feel better soon. Sometimes warm weather in winter helps. Sometimes a bar of soap placed under
legs or arms in the painful area.
Sometimes a smile because you are still the best there is the best there and the best you ever will be.
Chin up:)
