REDnesday! Early for once!

So! Here we are back at a REDnesday again.
First I thought I would update you on how I am doing.
The antidepressant seems to be helping, but I still have my moments.
I have been working a lot lately. Had a couple of 6 day work weeks with long hours.
That may have been too much, because now I am sick.
Not only was I working too much, but I was not getting enough sleep.
We tried a muscle relaxer from the doctor, but that did not help.
Only seemed to be waking me up more often and if I took two it was worse!
Part of what wakes me up is my shoulder pain.
I have finally found a position that I am reasonably comfortable in.
The last two nights I tried some Sleep Tight that I got from a drug store.
The first night was so-so, but last night I actually slept about a 6 hour stretch.
I can not tell you when was the last time I slept that long!
I hope to sleep just as well tonight, if my stuffy nose does not wake me up.
Both B-Daddy and I went to the doctor today. We both started with colds.
Mine moved into a sinus infection and B-Daddy's moved into bronchitis.
So both of us are kind of a mess right now.
I stayed home Monday and Tuesday and will be staying home Wednesday.
Then we will see after that.

I do have some RED for you.
We have collection of Native American dolls that came from my mother-in-law.
She never did display them. But we have some of them on display.
Here are two of them.
Both are kneeling dolls.
In between them is a tin with a picture of our local
California Mission.
I wonder if any of you will recognize which mission it is.
The study of California Missions is usually done in the 4th grade.
It was when I was growing up. And also when my children were growing up.
Thank you to Sue at
It's a Very Cherry World for hosting this fun theme.
I hope to get back to posting more often.
Happy REDnesday!
~Linnea~

Your dolls are very pretty.

I have been suffering from shoulder pain too, First one and then the the other - what's called "frozen shoulder" very painful and takes about a year to get better. Ugh!

I had to sleep with extra pillows to get comfy at all.

I hope you are feeling better soon. Life is too short!

I am so sorry that you and B-Daddy are both sick. My DH suffers with his shoulders and sinus infections constantly too, he, like you, doesn't sleep well at all.
I love your Indian Dolls they are so pretty. I collect dolls or rather did. Ran out of room in my small house, so I stored most of them away.
Fell free to drop by and chat with me when ever you have time.

I'm sorry you and your hubby are sick. There's definitely a nasty cold going around. I was sick for two weeks with one, which is crazy for a cold, so take care and I hope you get some relief from your painful shoulder too.
I love those dolls! It reminds me of all the trips that I took with my parents to the Southwest!
Happy REDnesday!
Carol
P.S. So nice of you to honor that patient on your header!

Oh, Nea... I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder pain, your lack of sleep (though I'm happy you did get some!), and your cold and hubby's as well. I pray you will feel better soon. Glad that the anti-depressant is kicking in for you.

I love your pretty dolls, and I love the paintings you have on your header. Your friend was very talented. I'm glad you got these shots for her. What a talent! My dad died at 64, so I agree, too young.

Glad to see this post and the other. Miss you (I've been spotty w/ the blogging lately, too)!

XO,

Sheila :-)

I pray that you both have a speedy recovery! I'm so glad you shared your Header story - those are lovely paintings.

Beautiful Indian dolls. My aunt (here in Mass.) adopted two Indian children and has some nice Indian dolls, too.

Your Native American dolls are just beautiful, Linnea. They remind me of one I had as a little girl...she was only about 5 inches tall and had a white leather dress with fringe and mocassins..wish I still had her :( I wish you well with your anti-depressants. Happy Rednesday~

Hi Linnea,
So sorry about the passing of your friend, she certainly did some lovely paintings. Wow, 65 that is young!
Glad the antidepressants are finally working, it takes awhile to get them in your system they say. Will be praying for you and your hubby that Your colds will go away. Hubby and I had one back in early December and it took forever to get over it. The cough mostly.
but I had it really bad for about
2 weeks. It was a virus of some sort.
Well, Take care hon,
Blessings, Nellie

Hello Sweet Linnea. I've been out of commission for a while, but wanted to at least let you know that you and your husband continue to be in my thoughts, heart, and prayers. These struggles come to us all, but as somebody important said, "this too shall pass." It's helped me through a LOT. Look for little miracles in your life, look real hard, and then just reach out and take them. Love to you both, Jan
