Whatcha Working On and REDnesday--a late post.
Also I want to thank all those who have stopped by and left me encouraging comments. Now and then I manage to get a visit to others. I keep trying to do it more often, but just don't get to it. The sinus infection is better thankfully. Mostly gone and rarely coughing, but last Thursday I went to the emergency room with abdominal pain. Had stuff hooked up to me and including and IV. Blood test, urine test and Cat Scan all did not show anything major being wrong. Later I was feverish with lots of uncomfortable diarrhea. My doctor thought maybe I had a virus or something. They could not find the lump thing that I can feel inside and the Cat Scan did not show it. I think my next visit needs to be to an OB/Gyn doctor to check and make sure it is not some female problem I am having, like with my ovaries or something. I can still feel the pain somewhat and am able to still feel something, but for some reason the ER doctor nor my family doctor could not feel it. Very strange anyway. To tell you the truth I am still worried about it. So continued prayers to hope that it is not anything serious.
So what have I been up to besides trying to stay well? We did some changes around the house and I have before and after pictures. Probably should have done this for Metamorphis Monday, but did not get to that. Another time maybe.
We had won a bid at a Silent Auction at our church last summer for some handyman help. The guy was able to come on Monday this week to do it. Oh, that is why I did not post on Monday. LOL. That was the day it got done. :-)
First I want to show you this cute wind dancer. I got it from my new secret pal at church. The smile is RED. For now I have it hanging on my wire hanging baskets. I rather like it there.
I switched our bed coverings to the one I use in the Spring. Touches of RED in there. We have ordered a new set to use for the summer. Kind of fun to change things around for the seasons.
Here is the before picture of the kitchen lights. We don't really like these and with a single bulb in each one it was not really enough light at night when working in the kitchen. You can see several RED things that I have in my kitchen in this picture. I have RED on top of my toaster oven. Here is picture of those items.
I use the tray to corral a few things. Makes it easy to move them all when we want to use the toaster oven. Some of you will remember that cute S & P set. The tray I believe was a wedding gift. So that means it is over 30 years old!
Here is the after with the new lights. I love them! More light and they look so much better. The fans will really help in the summer as the air circulation is poor in that part of the house. Makes it too hot to prepare meals. With the fans we will be more comfortable to work in the kitchen on those hot days. One of the old lights went in the dining room for now since we needed one in there. It will be replaced eventually. Need to decide what I want in there.
A before of the kitchen faucet. We did not really like this one.
Woohoo! The new one! Love, love, love it! The sprayer part just pulls down. Makes it so nice to rinse the sink and other things easily. Also great for filling pots and the coffee maker. Just pull the hose over and fill the coffee maker with the hose. B-Daddy loves that part, since he is the coffee maker in the family. I never remember how many scoops to use. So I wrote it down and taped it to the inside of the cupboard. Comes in handy when I need to make coffee, which does happen now and then.
The before of the guest bath faucet. We did not like this one either, besides it was starting to leak. Time to change it!
The new faucet! We love how easy it is to turn on. Great for arthritic hands which I am starting to get now. Also we love that the faucet is raised, making it easier to use it to fill something or handwash something. We are planning on getting the same one for our bathroom too. We will need two of them though since we have two sinks. The shower faucet was also replaced with a handheld shower nozzle, but I have not taken an after picture yet. At least it is done for when our daughter comes to visit next month. I am so looking forward to spending some time with her. She is super excited about coming too. She will be around for 7 full days, but is attending a wedding one of the days. We don't know if we are, since we have not been invited yet. Her boyfriend will also come for the weekend only to attend the wedding with our daughter. The rest of my family will get to meet him.
We have some other good news....we are going to be grandparents again. Baby due in November. We hope to make a trip in early December for my birthday to see my son and his family after the new little one arrives.
Guess I better close. Getting late and I should get some sleep. Thank you again for your visits and wonderful comments. I will try to get back to you soon. In the meantime, have a great rest of the week. Wish me luck in getting results about my pain and that it is not a bad thing.

Congrats on your going to be grands again in November. What a blessing!
I would love to have a handyman come here and do about 100 things that are on my to-do list! The fans look great, and I'm sure they'll make a big difference. And the faucet is gorgeous. It's the little things that make us the most happy, isn't it?!
Happy REDnesday!

What a great thing to win, a handyman! I love the new faucets, really handy being raised like that. Congrats on the new gran due in November!! Sorry you're still not up to par but I just know you will be soon. Keep us posted if you can. I pray that they can figure out your cause of pain. The daughter's visit is good news, too. I know that makes you happy. Love ya, Neabear!!
Linnea, I love your Spring bedspread! Yes, it's fun to change things around.
You are going to love those fans in the summer. Ours were "built in" when our house came (pre-fab), and I'll never be without them anymore!
Wow Nommy! I love the new hardware in the kitchen and bathroom! Can't wait to see it in person. It'll only be about 3 weeks now! Yay!!
Hey, you! Glad you are feeling better, and I hope they figure out what that lump is. Even better, I hope it completely disappears! :-)
Love the quilt, the new faucets, and your sun catcher.
Love the fact that you are going to be a grandparent again, too, Linnea! That's great news!
