REDnesday Travels!

Wow! Another Wednesday is here.
And that means it is time for a REDNESDAY!
Thank you to Sue at It's A Very Cherry World! for hosting every week.
So...what have I got for you this time? A few things.
Here goes!
In June my RED roses were blooming beautifully!
A close up of one of the bunches on my RED climbing rose.
Also in June we traveled to B-Daddy's college reunion.
For him it is 45 years. Other years were gathering too as it
was a small college. Also this college is now closed as well.
But the Alumni is still strong.
It was at St. John's College in Winfield, Kansas.
Here we are waiting for our next flight at the Denver airport.
B-Daddy does not have any RED on. Shame on him!
I don't either really, but there is RED in the embroidery on my shirt.
We had flown from Oakland and now are waiting to fly to Witchita.
Our hotel room has touches of RED in it.
Here is the outside of the hotel in Witchita. We stayed at The Courtyard.
A couple of RED cars in the parking lot. AND....
Our rental car is RED!
A RED fully loaded Ford Taurus!
It was sure nice driving it.
Wait...I didn't drive..B-Daddy did.
Well it was sure nice riding in it!
I wouldn't mind owning a car like this.
We don't have a DQ around here so we took the opportunity to
go to one in Witchita!
Yummy REDS there!!!
Ta-ta for now.

Red is one of my favorite colors :) My roses didn't fare well with the insects this year.

We have a DQ nearby but I try to avoid it. They are just so good, it is hard to stop.

take care,
Dawn

The roses are beautiful! That is a great picture of you! What a nice smile you have. I'm glad you were up to getting away for awhile and taking a little trip. Are you feeling better?

Was the reunion in Wichita? I live 3 hrs from there. In May, my buddy and I, attended a decorative artists painters convention held at the Hyatt Conv Center. We stayed in a Holiday Inn. Anyway, I didn't realize Wichita had such a cute historic business district.....did you and your hubby make it down there? We also found the best antique mall I'd every been to on the West side of town (called the Paramount).

It was so great to see you had visited!! I love the header you created and the moving story behind it!!

Hope you're having a good summer! dana

Hello sweet friend. Thank you for your comments and the update. I do stop by frequently but it seems I make fewer and fewer comments. Got to hold onto my strength. Of course some days are better than others.

The preparations for the move to Cali are overwhelming. But, it's time to get settled in to my 'end of life' home.

I'm not there (end of life) yet, but I want time to enjoy with my friends before things get too much worse. It's my little vacation before my big vacation (returning to my heavenly home).

Lovely to hear from you.
Take good care,
Jan

Thank you for an interesting post for today. I was very touched by your words and story in your header. I am sure the lady was a fine person, but so is her art work. I am pleased you dropped by for a visit.
