REDnesday at the Aquarium

Time for REDnesday again.
Sue at It's A Very Cherry World! is our host!
I guess I have not posted for a Wednesday for a bit. But this time I have pictures of more of our trip to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. The first ones were for Blue Monday this week. So if you missed those check out my previous post.
As we were walking from the parking area to the aquarium, we passed this RED building.
We noticed there is a Starbuck's in there. So we kept that in mind for the walk back.
And indeed at the end of our time at the aquarium we did stop here for coffee and people watching.
There were some RED creatures at the aquarium.
These crawling things are a bright RED.
They like to walk along the underside of the rocks.
We saw a lot of seahorses. I was fascinated by them.
These are sort of RED. The lighting comes down from the top of the tank into the middle so it was hard to get a good picture of their color. This is probably my best picture from that tank. Took lots of pictures just to get some really good ones. Did you know that the male seahorses get pregnant and give birth and not the females?

We are in Monterey and yet we had Sonoma Sparklers. Mine is a Natural Raspberry.
It was very good. Did a good job quenching my thirst.
And the clam chowder was from Boston!
Starfish!
There was a RED one there. And purple too!
People were allowed to touch these.
If you saw Monday's post you will have seen my picture of a diver in a tank.
This is a different diver, same tank. This one was feeding the fish.
The other diver was to the right, but can't see him/her in this photo.
I think the second diver is there for safety to spot the other one in case of
trouble.
Happy REDnesday everyone!

Old buildings are the very best! I think we should always try to preserve them as long as we can. Love the red. Very different looking creatures.

Hi Linnea,
Good to hear from you girly!!
Your trip to the Aquarium looks like a lot of fun. Love those jelly fish, but only if I don't have to get stung by one!! lol Those red and purple starfish are just amazing. So pretty. The lil Seahorses are so cute too. Never knew that about the males having the babies, I'm all for that!! lol

By the Way, Happy 31st Anniversary!! Looks like yall had a fun time. Someone else was just talking about Raspberry sparklers
the other day, can't remember who
now, she used to be a teacher and one of her students thought she was drinking on the job cause it looks like a wine bottle. The dad came to school in a huff to check it out
bet he felt a lil dumb!!

Hope you are doing well my friend.
Have a terrific Thursday,
Blessings, Nellie

Boy, I have missed you! So glad you dropped by for a visit. I love this place, and I love that cute seahorse. I think they are one of my favorite critters as I mentioned before.

I have been wondering what you and Helmi have been up to! My critters are behaving themselves. No shenanigans of late.

I thought I had wished you a Happy Anniversary the first go around, but I didn't! Must have been distracted. Looks like the perfect way to celebrate 31 years! We had our 32 with Mr. Magpie in the hospital. Not highly recommended. ;-)

Love you...

XO,

Sheila :-)

Linnea, I just wanted to drop by and thank you for your very sweet comments on Eddie's blog. One of the best things about blogging is meeting friends like you, and you were one of my very first blogging friends. I just wish we lived closer so we could visit in person and get in trouble together! ;-) You know, the good kind!

Sending you hugs across the miles and lots of love, too...

XO,

Sheila :-)
