Blue Monday at the Aquarium

Blue Monday is here!
Thank you Sally for hosting every week.
You do an awesome job of it.
Sally can be found at Smiling Sally where there are a lot more
Blue Monday participants.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
For our 31st Anniversary we took a trip to the
Monterey Bay Aquarium.
We had never been there before and we had a great time at our
first visit. We were going to go there in 2007, but I was too sick to enjoy it.
Did the 17-mile drive instead on that trip.
This is what we saw walking up to the aquarium.
It is located in an old cannery building.
That is B-Daddy with the hat and his BLUE jacket over his shoulder.
The gal in front of him has on a BLUE shirt.
We saw lots of BLUE in the aquarium.
It is a normal thing to see so much BLUE in aquariums.
Jellyfish!
So mesmerizing to watch them.
They are referred to as the jellies.
We had a chance to go behind the scenes in the jellies room.
More jellies. So pretty to watch.
Did you know they prefer round tanks?
Jellies tend to get stuck in the corners in squared off tanks.
Lots of colorful fish in this coral tank.
Found a bright BLUE one there.
Near where we ate lunch was this quilt.
It was in Quilt Show in 1983 as per the
ribbons that are there.
Each square was made by a different person.
To the left is a poster/sign indicating who made each block.
We spent some time outside too.
Lots of people there enjoying the beautiful weather.
We plan to go back and stay longer.
There is so much to see.
A diver in the tank.
This was fun to see!
Another diver was in there too, feeding the fish.
This one was probably keeping an eye on things.
And on the audience too!
Of course we all wave back!!
I am planning to post more for REDnesday since there
was also lots of RED there too.
Happy Blue Monday!

Great shots - looks like it was a fun trip! I love visiting the aquarium in Baltimore, not far from where we live in Virginia. Some of it is a little scary, but it's always interesting.

Happy Blue Monday! from Joy @Joysweb

The picture of the diver looks so cool! And the jellyfish are gorgeous. I didn't know that they prefer a round tank; that's so interesting!
