Can More Things Go Wrong?

Now I am really ready to scream!!!

I had a treat today. I got to work a short day. That part was good. I rarely have time at home and have been puttering around cleaning the kitchen, doing cross stitching and so on.

When I took some recycling out, I noticed the air conditioner was off. I could not get it to turn back on. Meanwhile the house started warming up rapidly. Not what I envision for time at home.

Grrr!

But funny thing, as I sat here typing, the darn thing kicked back on. Maybe I wasn't complaining loud enough.

So I check the vents, the air is not cool coming up. I texted hubby and he said maybe the thing froze up.

Aaack!!

I'm going to do a search on portable swamp coolers like they were using at work yesterday.

Seems like when things go wrong, we get a bunch of them all at once.

Update: Now the cool air is coming through. So I guess the thing froze up. I am not usually home at this time of the day, so never experienced this before. Maybe it happens at times while we are at work. We have it set to go on at a certain temp so the house would not be too hot when we get home. What a relief!

Hi Linnea
Oh dear...thats not a nice thing to have happen on a treat of a day at home. I hope its stayed on and you can keep cool.

You were asking about my vacation time. I have been with the college full time for 24 years so I'm up to 29 days of vacation. Next year I'll be at 30 which is the max. It is nice. I always end up with vacation time left over that carries through to the next year so I'm always a bit behind in it...which is a good thing.

I hope you had a good rest of the afternoon off work!
have a great weekend too

I cannot begin to think about hurricane season - hot, humid and not air = miserable.

So glad that your A/C cured itself!

Hi, saw you at Aprils and popped over. I've had that happen to ur ac a few times...can't recall what we did. It seems like it cost money though! Glad to see yours didn't. We did not need ac here today...it was only 75 at the most.

Bless...Shell

Girl, from a Floridian who lives in heat, I sympathize more than you know. So glad it's working again for you!

Yesterday was the first day warm enough for me to put the air conditioning on! I was starting to get so uncomfortable and couldn't take it any more. It was really nice sleeping last night!

I hope your AC woes are a thing of the past and that you get more time to enjoy the activities you had planned.

take care,
Dan

Glad it wasn't anything worse. When it rains it pours, so the saying goes. Have a cool weekend!

It's been around 105 here. I HATE when we have AC problems. Usually happens on the hottest day! Keep cool sweetie!

All I can say is...nothing creates a wonderful day in Arizona when it's 122 degrees like a dead air conditioner when you've got Idaho company. June 26, 1990. Not that I remember.
