Blue Monday

This is my first time to participate in Blue Monday. I have plenty of blue things around my house. I just had to decide what I wanted to start with for the first week. I may sometimes post Blue Monday on my craft blog and sometimes do it here just like I do for Pink Saturdays.
Today I will show you my collection of blue dala horses. I have orange ones too. But for now I will just show you the blue ones with the white one thrown in for contrast. But the white one has blue in the painted design. This is a reflection of my Swedish heritage. My grandmother on my father's side was born in Sweden. Thank you to Smiling Sally for hosting Blue Monday. Hope you have a happy Blue Monday!

With a name like Linnea I wasn't surprised to find that you have a Swedish background. I too love Dala horses and forgot all about them being blue.
We have several Linneas in our family. All four of my grandparents were born in Sweden.
Have a great day.

Welcome to your first Blue Monday! You have a wonderful blue collection of dala horses. We used to have a Swedish restaurant called, "The Painted Horse," and they had a big dala horse on their overhang. Happy 1st Blue Monday!

Hmm... I know someone named Lynnae... but she's not Swedish. As far as I know anyway.

These are neat... never heard of them before.

I'm debuting in Blue Monday today too, but my focus (pun intended) is the photography, not the subjects. I can't collect anything this fragile. And none o fmy souvenir hockey pucks is blue. *wink*

I love those pretty horses! It is wonderful to have something to remind you of your heritage. My family is such a mix of things that nothing very specific passed down. I always missed having a definiate cultural heritage. Happy blue monday.

Hi Linnea,

E-mail me at akmunkus@cableone.net and put Linnea of Neabear in the subject line and I will e-mail you back this afternoon (when I get home) on how to do the strike outs. It is really easy but I am told you can't do symbols on this comment section.

Oh the horses from Dalarna! I have always loved Dala horses and have one exactly like the blue ones! I got it as a gift when I was a child.
