My Car Got Washed!

This might sound a strange thing to get excited about, but yesterday for Employee Appreciation Day we got our cars washed. I don't know if yesterday was really Employee Appreciation Day or not, but the Adminstrator and his Adminstrator in Training along with the help of one of the guys from maintenance washed the employees cars. Those who wanted their cars washed anyway. So I gave them my keys so they could move the car to where they were going to do the washing. They did it near the lawn area so the grass got watered from the sprays of water bouncing off the cars. I had a very dusty, dirty car. We had not gotten around to washing it, so I was very happy to have them do it. When I got off I retrieved my keys from the pile on the receptionist's desk and found my car parked in a different place than where I left it. There was this cute card on the front seat that said "Thank You for all your hard work!" I thought that was a neat way to show appreciation. A lot of hard work on their part to wash all those cars. Not everyone had their cars washed. But they did a lot. I kept checking when ever I could when ever I was in a room where I could see out there.

I personally would be very excited if someone wanted to wash my car for me. It needs it. Thanks for stopping by earlier. I am going to go check out your other blog now.

What a very nice thing to do for the employees. It didn't cost much money but it did take hard work...and that is something you can really appreciate. I wish more employers were that appreciative!

Well that was nice of them to do.

Wow! That was sure nice. I think more employers would have a lot happier employees if they took a little time to acknowledge their hard work. What a wonderful treat. The car washing was nice, but the note in the car was such an even nicer added touch.

Take care...

That's very, very cool that they did that for you guys. Very neat to hear about the card in the front seat. You hadn't mentioned that to me. That is a very nice touch. Fun times!

Wow, now that's a great idea for showing appreciation! I will pass it along to my boss! ;-)

And its very California, don't you think? I remember when I moved here being amazed at how serious people were about making sure they washed their cars regularly.
