Pink Saturday #6

A peek into my teacup and saucer collection. Right now I can't tell you how many I have, because I have not counted them. Some are blue which I can use for a Blue Monday post. Here I have 3 that are mostly pink. I believe all of them were my grandmother's before I got them. My mother also has quite a collection so if I run out of pink or blue I can go and take pictures of hers for a post. My mother has used hers to serve tea at times when having a women's bible study at her house. I added pink fabric to make it prettier for the picture. It is the same fabric I used for the hat I am modeling in my sewing blog. My granddaughter has the hat now.

The doily is a paper one and it is square shaped. I have them on all the shelves of my hutch and change them with the seasons. I still need to put the fall ones I have on the shelves.

This first one is called Royal Imperial made in England. It could almost look like the Linnea flower except there are too many flowers on each stem. I wish I found out where my grandmother got all her teacups before she died. I will have to ask my mother and see if she knows.

This one the design is on the inside of the cup instead of the outside so I display it on its side in order to see the pretty pattern. I several that I display that way. This one is Aynsley also from England.

This one is called Pink Roses made in England exclusively for Avon in 1974. I am pretty sure this one is my grandmother's also. My mother-in-law used to sell Avon and I got a few things from her because of that. But I don't think this was one of those things.

So there is a peek at my teacups and saucers. I will eventually show more, either as Pink Saturday posts or Blue Monday posts, or just for the heck of it.

Thank you to Beverly at How Sweet the Sound for hosting this wonderful and fun Pink Saturday!
