REDnesday-In the Kitchen Again

Yay! We are half-way through the week.
Although this is a 6 day work week for me this time.
But today we have REDnesday.
A time for sharing things that are RED.
Thank you to Sue at her new blog name of
It is the same wonderful blog!
Sue just changed the name to something
that fits better.
I love her new blog name!
~~~~~
So, what do I have for you today?
RED in my kitchen again.
I made/painted the two cookie jar lids here.
And the one in the middle had a RED knob.
The one on the left is supposed to be for
Valentine's Day.
But I never did finish ones for the rest of the seasons,
so this one is out all the time.
The Grandpa one I made one year as gifts.
Three of them for the kids three grandpa's.
When my FIL passed away, we got
this one back.
But now Hubby is a Grandpa,
so it fits!
Here is a closer view of the heart one.
And a closer view of the Grandpa one.
And then next to that is my RED toaster!
Then while I was browsing blogs and creating this post,
I had this for a snack.
RED strawberries with strawberry yogurt!
YUM!
Here is something that came in the mail
recently.
Gooseberry Patch Catalog!
I love this catalog!!
I need to order something.
So hard to just choose one or two things though.
RED dishtowels!
I found these at the Dollar Tree.
What fun!
Happy REDnesday to everyone!
~Linnea~
P. S. I am playing around with blog dresses again.
Found this charming one to try out!
Morning Linnea,
Hope you are having a good day so far. Love your red toaster!! Wow,
you did a great job on your painting of the cookie jar lids.
I'm impressed! I tried to learn the Donna Dewberry painting methods
but I just practiced and never really go anywhere too much with it. course, I was doing it out of a book, but I am more a show me firsthand and I can usually do it type of girl!!
Like you new look, and the beautiful roses at the top too.
Noticed those right away!
Well, you have a great day hon,
Blessings, Nellie
I like the look of your blog! I'm contemplating changing mine too. I get bored too easily! What an incredibly talented painter you are! I'm especially impressed with the Grandpa one. I've painted a little, and faces were always so hard for me. LOVE that red toaster, and thanks for the tip about those towels at Dollar Tree. I love that store, and I love those towels!
Happy Rednesday!
Carol
Good morning! Mmmmm, I might have to have yogurt for breakfast! LOL! You must always have a supply of cookies on hand with three jars around! That heart one is cute for all year 'round.
I think I'll have to look for a red toaster to match my red coffeepot!
I am always in awe of talented people like you who can paint. I can paint a room, but have never tried my hand at anything like this. Someday I would enjoy taking a class to learn. Red is such a great color!!!
Hi Linnea
Geez I am sorry we were so close to get together while we were there. You can't imagine we really had our days planned and we were all over the place we did 900 miles in that short period of time can you imagine?
Thanks for the comment on the fog .. and yes take a picture I'd love to see it! Where abouts do you live from SanFrancisco? We were in Monterey and Napa Valley and visited Half Moon Bay...Muir Woods. Loved it completely.
I love your reds. How clever you are to paint those cookie jar lids. Did those jars come with those lids? How did you do it? You did a great job.
I love the recipe book and your toaster...reds such a great colour.
thank you for sharing
have a wonderful day
Judi
