Blue Monday-Our Wedding Colors

Sally at Smiling Sally is our wonderful host
for this fun Blue Monday theme.
You can go and visit her and see all the others
posting for Blue Monday.
~~~~~~~~
This time I am reposting BLUE's I have done before.
Because Tuesday is our 30th Wedding Anniversary,
and BLUE was one of our colors.
Pink was the other.
This is our cake top and I still have it
after 30 years!
These are ornaments made from my wedding dress fabric
and from the fabrics used for the bridesmaids dresses.
My sister-in-law made this ornaments for us.
I made my wedding dress.
All but the zipper.
My mother put in the zipper.
My grandmother made the headpiece I wore.
My mother made this cross-stitch piece and gave to us
for Christmas in 2002.
Here is a photo of the portrait hanging on the wall
in our home.
The men wore BLUE.
Boy, we sure looked young then.
We both have gray hair now.
Well....B-Daddy has a lot and
I have some. LOL!
~~~~~
Our anniversary trip will be to visit our kids
and granddaughter.
We so miss our kids and decided that
seeing our kids is the best trip for us right now.
We are not going until next month though.
I am so looking forward to it.
So whenever I am feeling BLUE...
I remind myself it is not long until
the trip.
Happy Blue Monday!!

I remember those blue tuxedos! When the nest empties, the best anniversary trip is with the little birdies. I agree. Happy Blue Monday.

Hi Linnea,
Have missed you girl!! That is neat you still have your cake top,
I still have mine too, but it is packed away, but I get it out every now and again.
Congratulations on 30 years of marriage. Good for you guys, you have hung in there thru thick and thin!! That is such a rarity today. Love to see that!!
Your Wedding pic was cute, you did a nice job on your dress, can't believe you could make your own wedding dress, now there is a real seamstress. I have a girlfriend that was like that she made all her prom dresses, don't know she might have made her wedding gown too, she certainly could have! That is so neat!!
Hope you guys have a Fabulous day tomorrow, and do something sweet and fun!!
Know you can't wait for your trip,
it will give you something to really look forward to, and then we will get to hear all about it when you come back. Bet your kids
are excited too!! Maybe the weather will be cooler by then too!!
Have a great day today and tomorrow.
Blessings, Nellie
