REDnesday

It is Wednesday!
Today I am participating in REDnesday
hosted by Sue at
I have an odd assortment of things to share today.
Oh and before I go on,
thank you to Sue for hosting this fun theme!
A beer stein!
My B-Daddy has quite an assortment
of beer steins.
This one is actually a reddish brown.
A side view.

With beer in it!
B-Daddy has been using his steins lately.
Well, this one anyway.
You know, in the whole time we have been married
I don't remember him using his steins.
And next Tuesday the 22nd is our 30th Anniversary!
So in 30 years he has not used them.
Not to my knowledge.
It is about time he used one or two of them.

I call this a Redneck fix for the floppy pedal note on the pipe organ
at our church.
The last time I played almost every hymn I played
was written in the key of G.
And this note "D" in the foot part was used a lot
in those hymns.
A clatter everytime I lifted my toe off it to move to another note.
We used this pinkish(a shade of red) bandaid
and a folded paper towel
as a way to buffer the clatter sound.
Worked great!

This RED thing is a doggie throw toy.
It is sitting on my foot.

Here is Django, my parents dog, looking at me
and saying
"Well, aren't you going to throw it?"

Django dumps the toy on my foot
and eagerly hopes that I will continue
the game of
Toss the RED throw toy.
He can get really insistent.
Everytime we visit my parents,
Django hopes one of us will play
this game with him.
You can tell Fall is coming with the
leaves on the ground there.

This is the latest background I have on my moniter.
I love it.
The RED truck and all the RED apples.
I got it from Gooseberry Patch.
They offer it for free.
I will keep that one up until
I am ready for something else.
Happy REDnesday!

Tood Morning! I enjoyed your red post. I was surprised to see beer in the stein! I suppose no one here uses them because they're collectables.

I don't know much about music and G chords or D chords but I bet the congregation was a bit "rattled".

Love your moniter backdrop. So cute!

Django reminds me of Sunny. Totally different breeds but that obsessive look in the eyes is the same! Sunny fetches a soccer ball and will drop in in front of the riding lawn mower to make us stop and play. We have to put the toys away before we start or we never get done!

Happy REDnesday!

Dear Linnea,
Thank you for stopping by and joining my blog yesterday....I was thinking we already followed each others blogs but then sometimes I have people just disappear but that is okay because we all don't like the same things and our interests change.
I love your computer screen saver with the red pick up truck...the farmers' market in our town has a real red pick up just like that...they use it for advertisement.

I didn't think people actually drank out of them. I thought they were just collectables too. I look for them sometimes at Goodwill, etc. I thought about getting one for my brother! Thanks for the red!

My Hubs has some steins also, he has never drank out of them...Yet. I have them on a shelf and all they do is collect dust so using them is a good thing.
