When I got home from work today this package was waiting for me. Hubby is off on Mondays so when he brought the mail in he left this for me on the kitchen counter.
Know what it was?
Or rather who?

Yippee!!!
It was Stitching Stella!!
Michelle over at
Chocolate and Marmalade Tea asked me if I would like to have Stitching Stella next! Of course I was absolutely thrilled to have her next!!! And very surprised too! I never thought I would actually get her.
So I am very touched to get the chance to meet Stella and for her to hang out with me for a few days.

Here is Stella as she looked when she got her. She has her passport to which I must add some lines about her visit with me. Her dress that Michelle made for her night out on the town and her book.
If you are not familiar with Stitching Stella, she is the brainchild of Lindsay at
The Cross Stitch House and Lorrie of
The View from My Door. Stella started in England with Lindsay and has been to several places since then. If I am correct I am the 7th person to host Stella so far. But the 8th state. One host had Stella visiting 2 states. Go and visit Lindsay or Lorrie's blogs to learn more about where Stella has been so far. They are keeping a list with links in their sidebars.
Now I have to see if I can have Stella do different things than what she has already done with Lindsay, Lorrie, April, Daphine, Heather and Michelle.
Stella has already had a blast with all of them.

Here Stella is meeting my buddy Helmi. Helmi has already shown her that candy jar. Eek, now I really need to keep my eye on the candy jar, otherwise it may disappear before my eyes.
I will be posting on both of my blogs about her, so if you don't see something here check my craft blog. If we are doing something craft related, it will be on that one. Just click on the sewing machine in my side bar to get there.
UPDATE:
Oh dear.
Stella is already getting into trouble over on my craft blog.

I am so glad to see Stella has arrived safely. It's always great to see her pop up in a new place. Looks like she has already made friends with Helmi. I am really looking forward to seeing what she gets up to in CA. I know you will have lots of fun with her.
Enjoy
Lindsay
What a fantastic idea...the ladies of Blogland never fail to amaze me with all the fun things they create for all to enjoy.
This is going to be such fun for you and for us to come by and see what ya'll are doing next...
hugs, bj
I hope that Stella has a wonderful time while visiting with you! This sounds like something fun to do. We should think of something that we can send out and about. I've seen a traveling scarf, elephant, and now Stella. Let's put our heads together, and see what we can come up with!
That candy jar looks like it might be emptying quite rapidly.
I am so happy that you've got Stella now! There's no doubt in my mind that you're going to show her a good time! Can't wait to read all about it! Keep an eye on here...she's known for getting into all sorts of trouble! :)

Oh Linnea, I am so glad she is safe and sound with you!! She looks so happy with your teddy bear, Helmi (cute name). She definitely loves candy. I had a candy jar next to her bed in the guest bedroom (candy jar of hearts). I will keep checking back for her adventures with you!!
How cute! I hope stella has a great time staying at your house.
Oh you've brought back such memories! We used to do that in my little Girl Scout troops all the time. Hope you two are having a blast causing trouble!
Katie

LOL! I got your message, and they are not match for the stealthy fox and bear guards! ;-)
Love that Stella is visiting you, Neabear! Can't wait to see the shenanigans.
XO,
Sheila :-)
There's little doubt Stella will have fun in your neck of the woods! It's so neat being able to follow her travels... Oh, how I'd love to be her!!! ;)
Alright, I'm just going to be bold and come right out with it... Stella sent me a postcard and mentioned she would love to head Down Under, before the Summer ends, so she can check out our famous beaches and work on her tan. She said, because she's so shy, that she didn't want to place any demands on anybody... But, as the end of February heralds the end of Summer - officially - I thought I'd just, you know, be a good friend and mention the desires of her heart... ;) ;) ;)
Yeah, I know, I'm cheeky!!!
How fun that Stella has come to visit you.♥
yay! i am so glad you are hosting Stella! I can't wait to see what she's getting into!
How fun to have your special visitor. I'm certain you guys will show her a wonderful time! That's such a great idea. The kids in schools around here do something like that called "Flat Stanley". The FS is sent to folks who take photos of FS doing things with them, then they send him on. FS eventually comes back to the kiddo so they can share the many places he has visited. Fun idea!]
Hope you're having a great week. Dana
How nice for you to get such a nice visitor, lol.
Hope you have a nice day.
Love Elzie
GM Linnea!
That sweet, pudgy baby in my post is none other then my son when he was just about 6 months old. It's one of my favorite pictures :0)
I hope you have a fantastic day and that Stella is enjoying her visit with you all :0)
What a cute idea! I know Stella and Helmi will have a good time together. I would keep an eye on that candy jar though. Happy Hump day!
What a wonderful idea! Stella is one lucky lady to be able to travel so much and meet such fun (and very special!) people!
Now, where will Stella be off to next?
Love,
Sue
How fun! I just love watching Stella's travels.
Glad to see that Stella arrived to you safely! Looks like she's all settled in nice and comfy. Can't wait to see what she gets herself into while visiting with you!
Heavens No...don't even think of putting Helmi or Stella in harms way!!!! Just ask all of your readers to go to cliffdevries.blogspot.com, and plead for Percy's safe return. They might also want to ask for some kind of "payment" for my pain and suffering...like NY Bagels and Cheesecake! (And come to think of it, I never did get any jewelry:)
