Blue Monday #19-B/Questions

It is Blue Monday again! Thank you to Sally at Smiling Sally for hosting this fun day. If you have not visited the Blue Monday postings before go by Sally's to see who else is doing this theme.
This was taken in the Summer of 2006 out on the San Francisco Bay. We were on a ferry either going or returning from Pier 39 in San Francisco. We had gone there as part of a field trip with the Vacation Bible School with our church. The destination was the new Aquarium on the Bay. We had a fun day and it was so relaxing to ride on the ferry on the BLUE water. This picture is of the East Brother lighthouse. It is still in operation. And recently my hubby emailed me a link about a job as the lighthouse keeper there. He said he would love to have that job. Maybe. It would include running a bed and breakfast that is also there. But I would not take that job. I am not up to running something like that. Besides there is no internet connection there. Or so the job description claimed. It would be very lonely there except for when there were visitors for the inn. You can't just run errands any old time. Need to take the boat to do anything you need to do. I don't know if the job got filled or not.

This picture I took on Sunday(yesterday). We were having another beautiful day. Although we badly need some rain. This is a tulip tree. A different one than the one I posted about on Pink Saturday. This one is on my parent's street.
Here is a close up of the flowers against the pretty BLUE sky.

Here is another view on our way home. I have been trying to get different pictures of the scenery around our area. Fellow bloggers seem to be really enjoying seeing the pictures of this area. If you look carefully in the middle, you can see the BLUE waters of the north end of the San Francisco Bay. When we travel this road at night, we can see the city lights way out there. The skies were very BLUE again, but a little hazy at the same time. Not quite as crisp as it has been. A lot of pruning of the grapevines going on right now. This vineyard has not been pruned yet.
Happy Blue Monday!!

Now I have a question for you. What browser do you use? What browser works the best for uploading pictures onto your blog? I have been using AOL and that works well for me. I can upload up to 5 pictures usually without any problems.
We have been thinking of getting rid of the AOL and using something else. We happen to have Mozilla Firefox which works great for browsing blogs and commenting most of the time. But when I was trying to upload pictures for my craft blog post, it was not working well at all. I would set it to load 5 pictures, but then only 3 would actually post or none. I finally gave up and switched back to the AOL to do my post.
Any suggestions as to what browser works besides AOL?
Thanks for your input.

Linnea, I love the pictures! And those of the tree against the sky are stunning.

To answer your ?, I have no idea what I use. I simply load my pictures from my camera onto my computer, and then I upload to blogger when I'm posting. I have no idea if that's the best thing or not, but it works great for me. But browser? I'm lost. I'm like a lemming to the sea. I do the same thing every week, and it works. I don't vary it. If I did, I would be LOST. But browser? I leave the technical terms to Mr. Magpie. I'm hopeless with it. Sorry, wish I could help...

Happy Blue Monday!

XO,

Sheila :-)

I use IE as my browser and I have no problems, but everyone who uses Firefox seems to love it.

Good morning! I loved seeing the pics of your area. DH and I visited there many years ago. LOVED IT!

My son has trouble with FireFox and blogs. It looks like the pics and words overlap. I use AOL and love it especially now that it is free!

I love your new header as well!

I'm not sure that this is the information you want. I use a Mac, firefox search engine, and bellsouth is the company I send my money to each month!

Love your pics! I could never live where I didn't have internet connection. Oh my...I'm having a twitch in my eye just thinking about it!

I am a longtime fan of IE BUT it didn't work well for facebook. I have made myself switch to Firefox. I have no trouble uploading but I'm not wild about the set up.

It is a blue Monday here in supposedly sunny Florida. It is cold and rainy making me feel very blue! 6 more weeks of winter to boot according to Punxsatawney Phil. Won't be so bad here, but those people with all the snow, yikes. Your photos are gorgeous as usual. Tell Helmi hello!

Gorgeous pictures!!! I've always wanted to visit the San Fran area...I really want to now! You live in such a beautiful area.

I can't help you with the browser question...I am clueless when it comes to computers. I just take the memory card and pop it into the computer and go from there. Sorry I'm of no help to you!

I love your pictures of blue. I'll be so happy to see flowers again, but that won't be for a few months. Snow is predicted for tomorrow, 4-6 inches. YUK! I can't wait 'til it's over. I use IE and don't have any problems uploading photos from my own computer. I couldn't live without it! Happy Blue Monday!
