Our Trip So Far

We got to the LA airport safely, but it sure took us awhile to get there. Our flight was originally scheduled to go from Oakland to LAX which is about 1 hour or so. We got notification that our flight was changed to go from Oakland to Salt Lake City to LAX and our return flight is the same. On top of that, we had a delay of 50 minutes while we were in Salt Lake City. We ate lunch while we waiting and had some Starbuck's. We got off the plane outside the building and got on again outside the building instead of going through those long things we usually go through. When we were getting back on I could see our black and white suitcase with the bright pink tag getting loaded on the plane. It sure stood out against the black and other plain suitcases.

The wedding was beautiful. We drove through a downpour part of the way to get there. Oh, and our rental car is a cute PT Cruiser. I always wondered what it was like to ride in one of those. It was wonderful to see some family we had not seen for awhile. Also my daughter had a blast catching up with her cousins. And yes I have been getting pictures. Pictures of pink and pictures of blue, plus some Bathroom Diva pictures. You hear that Shelia? We did it. I will be posting them later. So far my daughter and I have done it in three different bathrooms. We may just post all of them. They actually turned out pretty good.

Yesterday we went to brunch at 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant. It was delicious. We really enjoyed eating there and had a view of planes landing and taking off from our seats.

Today we have been hanging out at my brother-in-law's house relaxing. We had a chance to do a video conference with his son and family twice today. It is so cool to see our baby great-nephew on live video. We really enjoyed talking with them including my sister-in-law who is the proud grandma. She is there visiting while we are using her house. I had never done a video conference before. It is so cool. The baby would turn towards the camera when he heard us laugh.

I have also taken 2 naps today. Each time I was relaxing and reading my Debbie Macomber book and relaxed so much I fell asleep. It is actually very nice to be able to do that. I usually can't relax and read like that. Falling asleep for a nap is a luxury for me.

Tonight we head down to our hotel in the LA area so that we are closer to Disneyland, Medival Times and the airport. Tomorrow is Disneyland day. We may be having some rain tomorrow. But that is okay. We will enjoy it anyway. It may mean smaller crowds for us. Plus we can browse the shops when it is raining and dash to the rides when it is not. We have reservations to eat lunch at the Blue Bayou. Should be a fun day for us.

Hope everyone is having a Happy Monday!

I hope you are having a great time! I wish I would have known when you were coming down, i could have met you in real life and used my annual pass for the "mouse". Blue Bayou is one of my daughter's fave places. I know Dland must have been awesome today and the rain pretty much stayed away. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
