When we got home from the memorial service today, I started the de-decorating and the re-decorating. Does that make sense? I hope so. More about memories of loved ones later. Probably Tuesday.

First it was bye-bye Thanksgiving decorations. This year I got enough new decorations I needed another bin. Fortunately the smaller one in the back was sitting around empty. Can you believe that?!? I was surprised I actually had an empty bin. It was out of sight, out of mind, so I had forgotten about it. Found it when I was looking for something else. Isn't that the way it always is?

This picture shows my mess on the piano as I was moving things around in order to decorate. Hopefully that mess won't be there for long.

And in this picture is my Christmas stuff busting out of the bins. See that pillow back there. That is one that I made one year when I had a left over block after making wall hangings. I think I entered that in the fair the year I made it. Also entered the wall hanging too. Got blue ribbons on them. Have not entered things in the fair in so long.
I have started decorating, but I will post those pics a little later. Fun to keep people hanging sometimes. I know. I am being a tease. But it is so fun! I hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I can't wait to see the decorations Nommy! You know how much I enjoy the Christmas decorating that you do. I have to say that I love the snow you've got falling over your blog. Very cool.
I am looking forward to seeing your decorations. I am still putting away my fall stuff....I am so behind!
Love, Ann
Oh, this is how my house looks! Transition is a mess.
De-decorating and re-decorating are such a lot of work. I started last weekend and haven't finished yet!! I hope to be done soon. I love totes. I always have extra that seem to fill up quickly!
I look forward to seeing your decorations up.
take care,
Dawn
I wanted to drop by and thank you for all the advise you have given me about posting. I'll sure try what you do and see if it is easier. I see you around a lot when I go visiting, so I'm happy that you chose to come visit me too. Sign my guestbook , if you will sometime. Thanks again for your help.
Hugs,
Chris
My house looks like this, too, Linnea! LOL! Don't you love it!

Wow! You have so many decorations. Where do you keep them all? You must have a lot of storage space. I would love to see pics when you are finished.
Can not wait to see all your decorations....I think the reason we decorate the day after Thanksgiving is because if we do not do it then it might not get done....for some reason we have been so busy this December....
Hugs,
Mo :-)
Hey 'Nea!! My house will look similar to yours tomorrow. Thought I would get it all done this weekend, but that just didn't happen!! We did, however, get our tree, and I will post my pics of our trip to the tree farm tomorrow!! Can't wait to see what you have up your sleeve!
Have a magnificent Monday!!
Becky
Hi Linnea,
I'm having a hard time with my hotel internet but I hope this comment makes it through. I really appreciate your well wishes for hubby and my anniversary. Those boxes sure look familiar :0)
Linnea, I'm anxious to see your decorations once you are done. My house is a mess - boxes all over - even in the bedrooms. As slow as I am this year, I'm sure that I'll be looking at your finished project before mine is complete.
Hugs,
Sweetie
Hi Linnea, I saw your comment on a Pink Saturday blog about how to add snow, thanks for that! it adds to the fun of the season! Enjoy decorating! Suzie
My family room looks just like that!! And it's been that way for almost 2 weeks! I hope you get yours done faster than I am.
