6th Day of Christmas!

On the 6th day of Christmas my true love sent to me,
Six geese a laying,
Five golden rings.
Four calling birds,
Three french hens,
Two turtle doves,
And a partridge in a pear tree.
Update: In case anyone was wondering--I played a total of 12 hymns on Sunday. Whew! That was in addition to prelude and postlude music and one other piece of music during the service. No wonder I was pooped on Sunday and yesterday. Plus my thumb was sore. Not any more, but it was while I was playing. I was happy that people enjoyed it though. The main organist does not play on the pipe organ. She uses the electronic organ. So people said they really enjoyed hearing the pipe organ played. Made my day!

I am so glad there are others out there not ready to take down their Christmas decor!! I've never gotten ours out early because I'm too busy doing sales until the first or second weekend in Dec.. Because I put up two live trees, I enjoy them until the weekend after New Years! I really have the quieter time to REALLY enjoy my decor then---things have settled down and are much calmer.
I enjoyed your Church Decor--hope all went well with your "gig" on the organ! I wish I had some musical talent--I don't, but I love to listen to the folks who do!
Have a great day! Dana

I had a confusing post here before I changed it. That is why there are a couple of strange comments here for those who are wondering what the heck is going on.

Congrats on your successful organ playing! I have a friend who is an organist and I love hearing a beautiful pipe organ. He has a CD that I listen to often.

Happy New Year to you!!
