Pink Saturday #19

It is time for Pink Saturday again!
I missed it last week because I forgot to inform Beverly.
But I am back again this week. Many thanks to Beverly for hosting this every week. You can find her at How Sweet the Sound where she lists many others participating in Pink Saturday.
I am always saying I am running out of pink things to post.
Did I find anything this week?
Let's find out!
In recent posts I have been showing beautiful scenery along my drives to and from church. This was also taken one of those days in the town our church is in. We used to live here as well. And actually I grew up in this town.
This is what is known as a Tulip tree. I am seeing those in bloom now. I have captured one here as I was in the line of cars for the stop sign at the corner. The blooms are purply pink and so pretty. I always forget where these trees are until they are blooming again.
Across the street there is the old park in town. I have memories of a curvy slide there. I can remember playing on it and before it was removed for updated play equipment, my son had also played on it.
When our son was small, we used to live a few blocks to the left I would often walk to this park from there. Our daughter was born while we were living at that house.
Then several years later we live in a house a few blocks to the right. We were in a corner house and that street was the side street by our house at the time. We also used to walk to the park from that house too.
Then I drove down to this place because it is PINK. That bakery has been there as long as I can remember. The street used to be narrower. Now the street is right outside the building. See the sidewalk there. Sometimes it is scary to walk along there to get in the door to the bakery. My old high school is a couple blocks beyond this building. And that is a brand new Starbuck's going in on that corner there.
This place also has a small restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. Yum...I want to go there now for breakfast. Oh, and the building has always been PINK.
Remember this candy dish I posted for the last Pink Saturday I did. Many of you felt you could take a piece right out of the screen.
Why am I showing you again?
Oh...maybe to torture you as you see the Melt Away candies from Hickory Farms disappear right before your eyes.
Look at that!
Not much left......
Going.....

Going....Gone!
Better grab one before they are totally gone.
I have none to replace what is here.
Uh...oh. You are running out of chances to grab one. Only some pink ones are left now.

Better hurry! Only 4 pink ones left!

One last pink candy left!
Who is going to get it?
Sorry, I got it.
All gone now.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Of course it is still a happy Saturday!
Now dry up your tears and go buy yourself some pink candy somewhere.

Reading about the bakery made me hungry. A warm donut and a cold glass of milk...yeah, I've gotta get me some!

I wish that you could be here for my surgery. When I had my right knee done - I had lots of therapy, but most of it happened after 6 weeks, because of the broken leg. This time, I might get lucky, and just have to have the lateral release. I got my cardiac clearance yesterday, and now I'm just waiting for the lab results. I'll keep you posted!

Thansk for the pretty pink. I used to buy those Melt Away Mints for my Mom and Dad at Christmas. Of course I got a bag too. They are so tiny it's easy to make a pig of yourself when you only intended to eat a couple! Love that pink striped building!

You're so silly Nommy! You really shouldn't tease people like that. I remember Buttercreme Bakery. I had many a good meal there with friends and family. I think we stopped in there for brunch a few times on Sunday mornings after church. I remember when they were talking about tearing it down. It was so sad. I'm glad they didn't it's very much a part of the town's history!
